With the Dancey Ballroom now closed, we’ve moved all of our dance classes and socials to our D2 Dance Studio location at 55 West 8th Avenue in Mount Pleasant (map)

All of our dance classes and socials are moving to our D2 Dance Studio location (55 West 8th Ave) and new class programs start the first week of July 2017.

Many of the instructors who taught at the two studios will continue teaching at D2, and we will continue running many of our popular social dances at D2 (including Friday and Saturday nights).

d2intextD2 is a modern studio space in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, located between Main St and Cambie and near Olympic Village. We are conveniently close to many popular craft breweries, cafes, coffee shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood.

By Car: There is plenty of free street parking in the Mount Pleasant area, as well as metered street parking.

Translink: Six blocks from Broadway-City Hall Skytrain station and near many bus routes.

Whether you are an absolute beginner and new to dancing or you’ve been dancing for years, we aim to provide you with a fun and rewarding experience through our dance classes and social dance events. We work with some of Vancouver’s best instructors who are dedicated to teaching proper technique, musicality, and excellent leading and following skills, in a challenging yet encouraging learning environment.

• No partner necessary. Everyone rotates partners throughout the lessons.
• A learning environment that is encouraging, fulfilling and fun.
• Instructors who are patient, dedicated and passionate about dancing and teaching.

You will be able to dance anywhere, with anyone, with confidence, and leave your classes and hit the dance floor feeling great!

Learning to dance is also a fantastic way to meet new people and an activity that appeals to people of all ages and from all backgrounds. It’s a very social activity with a vibrant community here in Vancouver. Through our classes and social dance events we provide many opportunities to dance and socialize with friendly, like-minded people who share your interests in learning to dance.

The Dancey Ballroom is a stunning dance studio located in downtown Vancouver at 505 Hamilton Street, in a Romanesque Revival style heritage building of distinction (built 1905) located on the corner of Hamilton and Pender, near Vancouver’s theatre district and historic Gastown area.

D2 Dance Studio is a modern studio space in Vancouver’s trendy Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, located between Main St and Cambie, and close to Olympic Village.
